I love wearing hand knit socks. However, I don’t always have time to hand knit up as many socks as I need to get me through a week. These machine knit socks solve the problem of not enough time! I can knit up a pair of socks in about an hour and a half. The ribbing at the top takes me longer than knitting the body of the sock on the machine!

This pattern is written with a chart to help you decide on the size to knit. Please note all measurements are approximate, and just given as a starting point for your adventures in sock knitting. Use the second chart to fill in the blanks on the pattern pages so you can focus on just the size you are currently making.

This updated pattern now includes 7 sizes with ideas on how to adjust the fit to personalize your socks. You can also knit a shorter or longer leg according to the seasons. Check out “My Kid’s Socks are Faster” pattern as well to get an additional 5 sizes for the kids in your life.

This is also a great pattern for those hand dyed sock yarns that are so lovely to wear.
