This pattern was the 2020 design for our annual Mystery Sock KAL, and was released in a series of 6 clues. It’s now available as a complete pattern for you!

Description: Snow. Whether you love it or choose to leave it, we are all affected by it in one way or another. So this year, let’s pay tribute to our icy friend and nemesis that brings us beauty, fresh water, and exciting sports, while also providing us with slippery surfaces, damaged trees and roofing, treacherous roads, and exhausting opportunities to shovel. This cuff-down design is worked with two colors, and features snowy mosaic themes which will neither chill your needles nor melt in your lap.

The pattern contains instructions in text and charts, and, as always, there is video support to help you with techniques that might be new to you. The pattern is written for three sizes:

  • Narrow Width: 6.0 - 7.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Medium Width: 7.5 - 9.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Wide Width: 9.5 - 11 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • And foot length is determined by the knitter.

Yarn Required for Project:

  • Main color: One 100g skein of fingering weight sock yarn. Solids or semi-solids are the best option, but yarns with long, slow color changes would work, too.

  • Contrast color: 20 - 25g of fingering weight yarn in a color that contrasts strongly with the main color.
