All of you know Meggie as a designer and friend. I being her grandmother know Meggie better than anyone. I have 25 grandchildren by my son Sean and they all are unique and special, but then there is Meggie. She was born on the Feast of St. Padraig and at first the Drs. thought she must be blind as her eyes were brown. But no it was just her bit of uniqueness showing through already. Meggie has her Mam’s grace and heart and her Da’s steadiness and ability to visualize dreams. I have never spoken a word of English to the girl and Irish is her first language. This shawl is the story of the love of a Gran for her granddaughter and what inspires that love. It is the story of a girl who truly lives by duty, honour, country and the fact one should be leaving this world in a better place. It is the story of Meggie……..

This is a scholarship shawl but the family is also matching the money to also donate for cancer research.
