This is a light weight sweater with a distinctive outline. The lusciousness of Hat Box and the minimal ease provides a sweater of curves and lines. The sweater has a cropped front that slants to hip length for the back. The neckline has a basic rolled edge but the smooth simplicity of the front is deceptive as the back features a detailed lace panel flanked by cables. The cable motif is visible on the sleeves, provides interest at the side seam and as a final edge to the sweater body. The sleeves taper to cover the wrist for a longer sleeve with a thumb slit. There is an option for a standard sleeve.

PATTERN NOTES:
Sweater is knit in the round from the top down, using a provisional cast on and raglan increases. Short rows are used to shape a cropped front angling to below waist length in back. Sweater back features decorative panel with lace and cables. Side seams and bottom edge have simplified cable pattern. Sleeves feature the Ribbed Cable, beginning at the neckline and flowing over the shoulder on sleeves that taper to wrist, and extend onto hand with a slit for thumb. Neckline finishes with rolled edge.
