This fingering weight shawl is created two very unique stitches. I think you’ll find it fun to make and to wear. The cluster stitches add a dimension to the shawl that’s rarely seen in knitting pattern. The result is a unique and elegant shawl. Both of the stitches come to us from Japan. If you have not done any cluster stitches (smocking), this is an excellent pattern to learn on.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming some lace knitting experience)

The border and focal stitch are both charted and written out line by line.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Aaron Atwood, who can be reached at: eochdubh.pooka@gmail.com. The shawl was knit in Handmaiden’s Casbah yarn.

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry and in my Etsy shop in the Cluster Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)**
