Inspired by Nantasket beach in Hull, Massachusetts, this scarf takes only one skein of Be Sweet’s Bamboo Rain yarn. Adding the option fringe will take two skeins total.
The name “Nantasket” is derived from Wampanoag and means “at the strait” or “low-tide place.” Until Hull was incorporated in 1644, English settlers referred to the whole local region as “Nantasket Peninsula.” It is one of the busiest beaches in Greater Boston and at low tide, acres of tide pools and sand bars can be found.
