Pattern description from Son of Stitch ‘n Bitch: “Even the mildest-mannered of men can be a bit of a cad at times, and this illusion scarf lets him hide his naughty side from the rest of the world. Looked at straight on, it’s a basic striped scarf in a fiery red colorway. But hidden like a shadow among the flames are the silhouettes of two naked ladies, dancing on a pole that stretches from one end of the scarf to the other. Of course, these figures are revealed only when you look across the surface of the scarf, so when your guy is wearing the scarf, he’ll see here every time he looks down. It’s his little secret. But no worries- this lusty lady will make him think of no one but you.”

Size: 6½“ wide x 69” long

Materials:

  • MC: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted (100% wool; 100g/22yd), 2 hanks #146 Flames
  • CC: Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 (100% wool; 100g/220yd), 2 hanks #8555 black
  • US 5 (3.75mm) straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Spare needle for 3-needle BO
  • Stitch holder

Note: “The scarf is worked in two halved from the bottom up. The two pieces are then joined with a seam at the back neck (center). When changing colors, run unused color along side of scarf, twisting together, being sure to keep tension even for smooth edges.”
