The Nautilus Shawlette is a versatile accessory knit from fingering weight yarn. It drapes naturally over your shoulders and can be fastened with a shawl pin, too. The spiral appliques are inspired by designs found in nature – beautiful spirals can be seen in nautilus shells, fingerprints, ripples, and flowers.

The techniques used to make the shawl include simple knit stitches and knitting i-cord, so it is great for all levels of knitters.

For this project you will need 100 grams of fingering weight yarn, a set of US 2/2.75 mm knitting needles, and two US 2/ 2.75 mm double pointed needles. You will also need a yarn needle, ruler, and scissors.
