From the book: “A fairly simple pattern repeat forms the design on Jane Davies’ Navaho sweaters. The pattern on the sleeves is broken with plain bands of colour.” … “The woman’s version is knitted with pale blue cuffs and welts as given in the pattern, as an alternative, try knitting in rich autumn shades as seen on the man’s version.”

Materials required: 205 (230, 255) g in pale blue, 100 (125, 150) g in salmon, 135 (160, 185) g in mid blue, 25 (30, 35) g in brick, and 65 (70, 75) g in beige.

Machine required: Any Brother standard gauge electronic or punchcard machine with ribbing attachment or equivalent. If ribbing attachment not available instructions are given for mock-rib, or alternatively the rib can be worked by hand.

Charts are given to make the four punchcards required.
