This is the fourth sweater included in the Ultimate Modish Sweater Club 2015/2016.

Navigator is a lovely little cardigan, seamlessly worked from the top down. Inspired by the 40s, the pattern features a very easy but effective fair isle motif, bust darts and narrow ¾ sleeves.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)
Finished chest circumference with overlapped bands: 31 (34¼, 38¾, 42½, 46¼, 50, 54) inches/79 (87, 98.5, 108, 117.5, 127, 137) cm.

♡ Holst Garn Coast (55% merino 45% cotton; 383 yards/350 meters per 50 gr):
MC: 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins shown in Marlin;
CC1: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) shown in Dove;
CC2: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) shown in Asparagus;
Sample worked with two strands of yarn held double.

or approx MC: 1350 (1500, 1700, 1900, 2100, 2300, 2500) yards/1235 (1370, 1560, 1750, 1920, 2105, 2290) meters; CC1 and CC2: 320 (361, 420, 480, 540, 600, 680) yards/ 295 (330, 385, 440, 495, 550, 620) meters each of lace/light fingering weight yarn held double;
or sock/sport weight yarn (at approx. 350-380 yards/320-350 meters per 100 gr) which gives you the correct gauge held single (halved yardage)

Please note that the sweater is designed to be cropped. If you want to add length to the garment you will need more yardage and extra buttons.

♡ 36”/90cm or longer US4/3.5mm circular needle or different size to obtain gauge.
♡ 36”/90cm or longer US5/3.75mm circular needle or different size to obtain gauge.
♡ US4/3.5mm DPNs (optional, for sleeves).
♡ US5/3.75mm DPNs (optional, for sleeves).
♡ 1 stitch marker.
♡ waste yarn or stitch holders.
♡ darning needle.
♡ 11 (12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14) half inch/13mm buttons.

Gauge after blocking
25 sts & 27 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stranded colourwork on larger needle.
28 sts & 32 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in twisted rib (unstretched) on smaller needle.
Your gauge should be a little bit tight to provide a dense fabric.
