A long cowl made with a long piece of fabric formed into a loop, can be used to wrap around your neck several times, or just wear it down across your chest and match it up with a military taste brooch, as if wearing a sash with a medal.

This cowl is made by working in pattern stitch A, B and C, working back and forth, and then joining the last row and the first row using three needles bind off.
