This shawl is the modification for those who do not like big warm shawls.
The pattern is shown on the chart. The calculation is made for 34(37, 40…) teeth on the lower edge of the shawl. The pattern is 3 teeth = 24 stitches breadthways.
You should use garter stitch (i.e. knit all stitches both in the RS and WS). You must knit the first stitch the Russian way: slip it without knitting purl wise. The last stitch is knit.

If you wish to use beads, you will need a bit more than 200 pieces for the pattern 34 teeth and 17 pieces for each extra pattern.
