This heirloom baby blanket is worked in three sections from the center out to the edge: a garter-and-lacestitch square, framed by a striped feather and fan border and finished with a knitted-on lace edging. Knit it in multiple colors, as shown, or simplify by working the entire afghan in a single shade.
