This set of nested baskets is made using fabric strips cut from a full-sized sheet (78x100) -- a great way to repurpose a used sheet (I bought this one for $1 at Goodwill). This basket set will look great on the springtime table, in a new baby room, or anywhere you want a splash of color and organization! The pattern has tips on knitting with fabric strips.

The baskets are:

  • large -- 23-1/2” (circum) x 4-1/2” (including rolled edge) -- needs about 100yards 3/4” fabric strip or 100 yards super-bulky yarn
  • medium -- 14” (circum) x 3” (including rolled edge) -- needs about 50yards 3/4” fabric strip or 50 yards super-bulky yarn
  • small -- 9” (circum) x 3” (including rolled edge) -- needs about 25 yards 3/4” fabric strip or 25 yards super-bulky yarn.

Knit in the round (using dpn/circs) this is a fun, quick, GREEN project great for Easter or any time of the year!
