This cowl would make a great first stranded knitting project for a developing knitter. Each round is either a 2-2 or 4-4 repeat of the color pattern. What could be easier? Of course, it’s so fun that knitters of all skill levels will enjoy it.

Don’t be intimidated by the fine gauge. The knitting goes quickly and everyone will admire your work wherever you knit.

The finished cowl measures about 12.5” tall and 21” around.

Shown in Knitcircus Opulence,

  • Main Color: The Sensible Ms. Dashwood semisolid, 50g (220 yards)
  • Contrast Color: Flower Power gradient, 35g (150 yards)

Note:
* This cowl is designed to fit somewhat
closely around the neck. If you prefer
a looser fit, you can add more repeats
in multiples of 8 sts. Unless you also
plan to use more yarn, this will
result in a shorter cowl.

  • The stranded motif is charted only.
