The classic shell pattern has new life and flair when made in fun colors with this different and interesting nylon cord. Shells are by design, soft and feminine, and in this pattern they create a scalloped edge across the top that I just love.

The clutch is the perfect size to use as a make-up bag, or throw it in your purse and use it as a catch all for those smaller items (chapstick, gum, eye drops, keys, etc.) so your purse stays organized and clutter free. Finished size is 5” H x 9” W.

Each skein will make two purses so make one for you and give one to a friend! These make great gifts for moms or sisters or friends who have everything.

Once crocheting is complete, finishing your purses requires some sewing to add a lining and a zipper closure. You can use a machine or hand sew. If sewing isn’t in your skill set, recruit a friend or family member with seamstress skills to help. It only takes a half hour to create the lining and set the zipper. I have filmed a step-by-step instructional video to walk you through the process which can be viewed at http://funcrochetdesigns.com/crochet/index.php/helpful-tips/.
