I have a collection of partial balls or skeins of yarn left over from past projects that are just too pretty to throw away. Needing a quick project, and dying to make something for myself, I came up with this quick cowl.

It begins with a row worked into a chain that converts to continuous rounds, eliminating the stress of a twisted chain, and the open cable creates squishy drape. Gauge isn’t important, so if you don’t have the exact weight, amount of yarn, or size of hook listed, the pattern will still make a great cowl. If your starting chain ends up being the wrong number, it won’t show. It’s a quick, painless, instant gratification project. If you can do a chain stitch and a triple crochet, you can work up this cowl in an hour or two. So dig through your stash and get hooking!
