For those unwilling to sacrifice neither fit nor speed in their quest for the perfect sock, the New Depths Heel supplies extra stitches for a deeper heel bed for your quick and easy short-row heel. No more short-row heels that won’t stay put, these roomy and symmetrical heels look great on your foot, and folded in your ever-growing sock drawer.

PATTERN NOTES

This pattern is a heel recipe, and not a complete sock pattern. This heel can be easily inserted into most sock patterns, and is the recommended heel pattern for my sock pattern pictured, the Taunus Socks (The Taunus Socks pattern includes the New Depths Heel pattern at no extra cost). Sizing is based on common sock stitch counts, but can easily be adapted to suit any stitch count you wish to use. The pattern includes written instructions, with instructional photos. I have also filmed two video tutorials, demonstrating techniques used in the patterns. You will find these linked in the pattern!
