This hat is a fascinating combination of cables and diamonds that produces sophisticated textured fabric and reflects the energy of a big city life.

This hat can be worn snuggly over the ears, or pulled back with plenty of slouch. You can make a contrast pompom for a youthful look. The instructions for the tube are charted and written out, the crown is written out only. The hat comes in two sizes: beanie and slouch.

NOTE: if you’re smaller headed, use needles one size smaller than required to get a proper fit (the gauge will be a little off, but this is ok);

Yarn suggestions:
Worsted, heavy worsted, or aran (depending on your gauge) wool yarn, 150-170 yards per 100 gram ball or hank;

The hat is designed in two sizes: loose beanie and slouch (or man’s), and is knitted from hat brim to crown. The instructions for slouch are given in brackets and in orange color, if there is one number, it is for both sizes.
