Materials:
Size G/4mm & H/5mm hooks,
Scissors,
Yarn Needle,
Polyester Fiberfill,
Four 27mm Rattle Inserts (optional)
Medium Weight Yarn. I used the following:
Loops & Thread Impeccable in True Grey (dumbbells & sweatband trim), and Royal (main color of sweatband)

Terminology (US):
ss = slip stitch
ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
hdc2tog = half double crochet 2 stitches together
sc = single crochet

Notes:

  • You will need about 180 yards of the dumbbell color and about 20 for the sweatband.
  • You will need about 5 handfuls of fiberfil.
  • If you choose to make your dumbbells rattles, the rattle inserts will be stuffed in both ends of both dumbbells.
  • Finished dumbbell will be 6 inches long and 2 inches wide (measured at the longest/widest points).
  • Finished sweatband will be 14 inches around.
  • The dumbbells are made in two pieces and sewn together.
