This crochet pattern gives you the instructions, so that you can make an adorable newborn sunflower bonnet hat with cocoon. Perfect addition to spring newborn sessions!

Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn #4– Yarn pictured is:
Red Heart Soft in Guacamole (approx 320 yards)
Red Heart with Love in Daffodil (approx 100 yards)
Red Heart Soft in Chocolate (approx 20 yards)
Size H/5.0 mm Crochet Hook–or hook needed for gauge
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Tape Measure
Gauge: With ‘H’ hook and worsted weight yarn:
4 Rows of dc and 7 dc stitches across is 2” by 2”

Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
St(s): stitch(es)
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: single crochet two together
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
dc2tog: double crochet two together
FPdc: front post double crochet
BPdc: back post double crochet
