Wear the Newport Pullover down a well-worn path of sand that snakes through tall beach grass to the sea. This gently cabled top, made from the bottom up in one easy, seamless piece, mimics the undulating waves of the ocean.

Difficulty Intermediate

Finished Size 35 (39, 43, 47, 51, 55)” waist circumference. Pullover shown measures 39”; modeled with 15” of positive ease.

Yarn The Fibre Co. Arranmore: meara, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins. Yarn distributed by Kelbourne Woolens.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16” and 36” circular and set of double-pointed. Size 9 (5.5 mm): 36” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; cable needle; spare size 9 (5.5 mm) needle for three-needle BO; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 16 sts and 21 rnds = 4” in cable patt on larger needles.

Notes This pullover is worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarm, then the front and back are worked separately back and forth.
