I recently lost a wonderful knitting friend of mine to breast cancer. She was such an inspiration to me both as a knitter and as a mother (she had/has 2 small kids). So when Kollage Yarns asked me to design a hat to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness I immediately knew what I would name the hat.

I would like to introduce you to one of my newest patterns Nicole’s Courage Hat.

Skill level: Intermediate

SIZE
Brim: 17¼ (18½, 19¾)“, stretchy
Length to center top: 7¾ (9, 10¼)”
Sample shown in smallest size.

MATERIALS
Yarn Kollage, Sock-A-Licious (70% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Mulberry Silk, 20% Nylon; 354 yds /100 g): #7809 Blush, 1 hank
Needle: Size US 3 (3.25 mm) 16” circular needle, and set of double-pointed needles in same size, or size to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch marker, cable needle, tapestry needle.

26 sts and 31 rows = 4” in Body Cable pat
