I have knitted this cozy up with a basic acryllic yarn using smaller needles than recomended in order to keep the knit nice and tight for a more thermal cozy. If you find the needles too difficult to work with, just go up a size but remember to pull your stitches tight. Gauge isn’t very important in this particular pattern.
