Needles & Notions: Size 2 US / 2.75 mm set of double pointed needles and pair of straight needles; cable needle; tapestry needle; three stitch holders; stuffing; black embroidery floss; two ¾” / 2 cm buttons for each cardigan (samples used custom buttons made by Meeting Street Designs, purchased at marymarsh.etsy.com); two 3/8” / 10 mm yellow buttons for eyes of each crocodile

Construction Notes: Worked both in the round and back-and-forth, bodies are knit from tail to head using short rows to shape the belly and head, and bobbles made along back of tail and body. Eyes, arms and legs made separately, then attached. Pieces are stuffed as you go. Cardigan body is worked in one piece with stitches placed on hold for armholes, and hood grafted together at top. Sleeves are picked up at the armholes and worked down. Button loop closures.
