This unisex, beanie-style hat is knit from the bottom hem up to the crown. It features a contrast-color folded hem and a two-color stranded motif representing the Nine Worlds. Concentric decreases shape the top of the head.

You will need 2 contrasting colors of a heavy fingering or sportweight yarn to knit this hat. Sample is shown in the largest size. Note: The size Large uses almost every yard of the MC. You may wish to purchase an extra ball for insurance.

Inspiration: The Nine Worlds are the layers of this world and the invisible world. Only Midgard, the world of humans, was visible, but all nine worlds were held within the branches and roots of the world-tree Yggdrasil, and each layer had its own legends from the Norse tales. Each of the nine worlds overlapped or interacted with the other, so each distinct world was interdependent and intertwined with the other eight.
