I designed Ninigret Marsh Shawl to suggest the lush wetland vegetation of Ninigret Park in Rhode Island. The marsh lands and salt water pond of Ninigret have a special serene beauty. When bitter cold winds blow through the marsh grass, this shawl will provide warmth to your shoulders and back. Worn forward, it can tuck into your coat neckline to keep you warm.
The shawl begins at top center back and is worked down and outward. Due to extra increases every right side row, the finished shape is a wide crescent. The garter stitch start and undulating lace pattern highlights any hand painted yarn.
