No Sew Mitered Slipper Socks
After seeing lots of these slippers online, in books and magazines, all requiring sewing squares together in a rather daunting puzzle, I wondered if I could devise a way to knit them as a whole piece, no sewing required. It worked!
And instead of making them into slippers (that sometimes were meant to be felted) I would rather have socks made from this design. The trick was where to pick up stitches for the heel. Not too difficult… once I tried them on, it became obvious.
These are the study or try-out and I will be remaking them in sock yarn, with more stitches per mitered square and smaller needles.
