This tank is worked back and forth in pieces and seamed. The lower edging is worked first, then stitches are picked up along the side of the edging and the piece is worked to the top of the lower body. The lower body is bound off using the I-cord method. The upper body stitches are picked up behind the I-cord and then continue upward.

Difficulty Intermediate

Finished Size 28.5 (31.5, 35.5, 37, 39.5, 44, 48, 52)” bust circumference. Tank shown measures 31.5”; modeled with 2.75” of negative ease.

Yarn Fibra Natura Cotton True Sport (100% pima cotton): #119 silver dawn, 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 8, 8) balls. Yarn distributed by Universal Yarn.

Needles Sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm): straight. Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; cable needle; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 21 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Mesh patt on larger needles; 23 sts and 30 rows = 4” in Lace Rib patt on smaller needles.
