This beautiful cowl combines my love of finely worked filet crochet with Nordic flower patterns. This cowl is worked in fingering or sport weight yarn, but works up quickly due to the openwork design. This pattern is available in chart form, with a quick review on how to work with filet crochet charts. This pattern requires approximately 450 yards of fingering weight yarn and size D hook, or sport weight yarn and size E hook.

Make sure to use a soft, drapey yarn that is comfortable to wear around your neck, but also with enough stability to hold up the pattern. The cowl made with the Anzula Cloud tends to be a little thin and limp, but the one made with Fyberspates Scrumptious is divine.
