Northern Lights Hat (Nordlyslue in norwegian)
A simple hat with a striking flare of Northern lights («nordlys» in norwegian) on one side of the hat. The yarn is unique to the norwegian indie dyer Nina at ninapetrina.no The little yarn company is situated in the land of the Aurora, above the arctic circle in the north of Norway.
The yarn is dyed in shifting colors so that the northern lights will form themselves on one side of the hat, while the other side remains dark. Every hat will be unique, because no hanks are exactly the same and everyone knits a bit differently. And therefore every hat will have its very own northern lights zigzagging across. Just as unique as the real thing!

Height: 9,4 (10,2) inches or 24 (26) cms.
Width: 8,6 (9,4) inches or 22 (24) cms.
Yarn: 100 grams Ninapetrina Tykk Supermyk Merino in any of the «Nordlys» colorways.
Needles: Double pointed needles and 40 cms long circular needle in the size needed to obtain gauge. Approximately US 4 - 7 or 3,5-4,5 mm.
Gauge: 21 stitches pr 4 inches or 10 cms.

En fleksibel glattstrikket lue strikket i håndfarget garn fra det lille håndfargeriet ninapetrina.no. Garnet er farget slik at et nordlys dannes på den ene siden av lua etterhvert som du strikker. Alle nordlysluer vil være unike - rett og slett fordi ingen håndfargede hesper blir helt like og ingen strikker helt likt. Og derfor vil heller ingen nordlys vil bli helt like. Akkurat som det er med nordlyset på nattehimmelen!
