The stitch pattern of these socks is very easy to knit, it’s perfect for a variegated yarn as it breaks up color repeats and it results in a thick and stretchy fabric. What’s not to love about such a combination…

The pattern name refers to Norse mythology, where the Nornir (i.e. the 3 Norns) are female beings, who spin and weave the threads of life. It’s easy to see the threads woven all through this socks.
