This reversible garter stitch shawl is a hybrid inspired by designs from several north Atlantic areas. The top-down triangle shaping that allows the top edge to widen is Nordic, the lacy scalloped border great for colorwork is popular throughout the region, and the peaked edging used to cast off stitches is inspired by the Shetland tradition.

Designed for Shetland 2-ply jumper weight yarns, it also can be knit in a variety of lace, fingering, and sport/DK yarns.
