This is a pattern for an ornately cabled shawl. The unique cable is complimented by a lesser known textured stitch. There are also instructions contained within the pattern for a stole (15 inches wide), very wide scarf (11 1/2 inches wide), and a narrow scarf, (8 inches wide), giving you the choice of what you’d like to make.

This shawl is knitted with light worsted weight yarn. The shawl is approximately 20 inches x 74 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and requires approximately 1000 - 1200 yards. The focal cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney.

The stitches are both charted and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling.)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging, should you want it edged.
The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artist’s Organic Chinook, and was expertly tested by Lori
Blair who can be reached at: theblairz7@gmail.com
