--------------------------------------------------------The vibrant green corriedale wool I chose for this project reminds me of the Pacific Northwest--a place where you may not need mittens most of the time, but fingerless mitts are certainly a staple! These mitts are knit from the bottom cuff up, knit mostly in classic stockinette with a subtle decorative ribbing that continues with one panel through the entire mitt--like the trees that are part of all the scenery in the PNW! The pattern placement is mirrored for symmetry between mitts.

The pattern is written and charted, but the charts are small, so this might be a good pattern to try out chart reading! All charts are worked from the bottom up, right to left. Both sizes begin with the same initial number of stitches and then continue with two hand length options for the rest of the hand.

No cable needle needed!

Skills Used
Knitting in the round, small circumference knitting, cabling without a cable needle, twisted sts, thumb gusset increases, placing sts on hold, picking up sts, reading and following a chart, German Twisted Long-Tail Cast On (Can substitute with your favorite cast on.)
