These mittens were based on traditional Norwegian designs.

REQUIREMENTS
It is expected that you know how to knit in the round and are familiar with placement of stitches on your needles of choice. Be familiar with the long-tail and backward loop cast-ons, increasing and decreasing, picking up stitches, working from charts in the round, and stranded knitting.

SIZE
Adult Small (Medium, Large)

TO FIT
7.5” (8.25”, 9”) / 19cm (21cm, 23cm) hand circumference, measured around palm above (but not including) thumb. If you are between sizes, knit the larger size.

ACTUAL MEASUREMENT
Approx 8.5” (9.25”, 10”) / 22cm (24cm, 26cm) in circumference.

GAUGE
Outer: 7 (6.5, 6) sts per in / 2.5cm in pattern.
Lining: 5.5 (5, 4.5) sts per in / 2.5cm.

NEEDLES
3 (4, 5) US / 3.25 (3.5, 3.75) mm, or size needed to get gauge. Pattern may be knit on double pointed needles,
a long circular for magic loop, or on two circulars.

NOTIONS
Stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle.

YARN
Outer: Berroco Ultra Alpaca - 215 yds/198 m per 100 gram skein - 1 skein Potting Soil Mix (#6279) MC and 1 skein Steel Cut Oats (#6214) CC for all sizes.

Lining: Blue Sky Alpacas Melange - 110 yards/100 meters per 50 gram skein -2 skeins Salsa (#806) for all sizes.
