The Northvale Shawl is a traditional triangle shawl knitted in garter stitch from the bottom up with steady increases along the edges and the spine of the shawl. The lace border is worked after the body is completed.

Written directions are given in this pattern, and charts are also included for the lace border.

Yardage Requirements
Biscotte “Bis-Sock” in Gold: 591 yd | 541 m
Testers’ projects with other fingering weight yarns used between 525-600 yards.

I suggest that you overbudget the amount of yardage necessary to complete the project, as each knitter knits differently and there may be a discrepancy in the actual amount of yarn used.
