From the pattern description: The unique shaping for these stockings came from a Husfliden pattern from the 1950’s. Rather than decreasing down the back of the leg at the seam line, the decreases are done on one single round just below the widest part of the calf line. It requires working the leg pattern in stripes that allow the decreases to fit in and not disturb the design.
