Not A Triangle is a beautiful and interesting design for fingering weight yarns. Written for four sizes it is worked entirely in one piece.

The pattern includes full written directions and is fully charted so you can choose which to knit from.

Techniques used are standard increases and decreases. There are no short rows in this pattern. The shawl is knit entirely in one piece.

FINISHED SIZE (approximate)

Small (Medium, Large, Extra Large)
Length: 150(180, 220, 260)cm/59(71, 87, 102)in

Length will vary according to how vigorously the shawl is blocked. The pictured shawl was blocked lightly.
Due to the asymmetric shape, changes in stitch patterns, and the fact that the shawl is knit on the bias, it is not possible to give a precise width measurement. However, the medium, large and extra large shawls are approximately 15%, 30% and 45% wider respectively, than the pictured small shawl.

YARN REQUIREMENTS (approximate)
340m (520, 650, 800)m / 370, 570, 720, 880)yds of any 4ply/fingering weight yarn.

GAUGE
Getting an exact gauge is not crucial but will affect the finished size and amount of yarn use.

UNBLOCKED 18sts and 40 rows = 10cm/4in in garter stitch on 4mm/US6 needles

NEEDLES
4mm/US6 60cm/24in (or longer) circular needle
