This is my take on the traditional Granny Square to recreate an infinity scarf.

Using colour changing yarn to crochet granny squares and joining each as you go along, it makes for a quick and adaptable infinity scarf. An edging is then crocheted on the top and bottom to create a simple yet effective edging.

This pattern will work with any weight yarn especially colour changing yarn - great for handspun. If using different weight yarn then the hook size needs to be changed. I recommend using a hook size that is several sizes larger than recommended for the chosen yarn.

This cowl/infinity scarf can be made as long as you want just by increasing the amount of squares you crochet and join together (but bear in mind that more yarn will be needed). The pattern can really be adapted to your own needs - a cowl or longer infinity scarf.

This is basically my first written pattern and has been tested by ladies in my local crochet class but if you have any questions please get in touch and I will be pleased to help with any questions.
