This blanket is an entrelac pattern. Made for my niece Alyssa who will be having her first baby in late August or early September. Most baby blankets are sweet pastels in pink or baby blue or a varigated color. This is something different that you wouldn’t normally see in a nursery.

This pattern can be knit 2 ways. Knitting, flipping the blanket (which will get really awkward as it gets bigger) and purling back or learning to knit backwards which makes the purl side. It’s really easy, just takes a minute to get used to it and your knitting away at the speed of sound. No more jostling your work back and forth, or untwisting your yarn from the blanket.

I’m almost finished with the blanket and I’ll post the pattern as soon as I get it written out and make sure it’s really what I did. Check out my blog for the free pattern - coming soon!
