Five dollars from each individual sale of this pattern will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

This project is perfect for using up those miniskeins and unicorn tails you have in your stash AND for letting people know that you are the wrong person to try and mess with. When people ask you what your personality type is, just tell them NTMF.

Thanks to Gale Zucker for her amazing craft activism photography and to Aliz Fernanda for being the fiercest model I could have hoped for!

Text reads “not today, motherfucker.” and is provided in chart form only. Profanity looks so much more elegant when it is in cursive, doesn’t it?

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This slouchy hat is knit from the bottom up. Corrugated ribbing is worked in the round before the pattern chart is worked flat. The ascenders and descenders of the characters are worked using the intarsia method and the main body of the characters is worked using the stranded colorwork method. The piece is then joined in the round again to complete the crown decreases. The large hole created by working the chart flat is seamed together during finishing.
