Knit in the round with your preferred method of circular knitting, Nuage is a cabled cowl worked in a luxurious, ultra soft blend of alpaca and merino.
You’ll only need 2 balls of Filitaly-Lab Puno 1 to knit a warm cozy cowl, perfect for men as well as for women.

Difficulty: Intermediate.

Skills requested: cast on, bind off, knitting in the round, cabling with a cable needle.

Note: Puno 1 is listed as a bulky weight but all Filitaly-Lab yarns are very versatile and you can successfully knit this cowl with much smaller needles if you’re a loose knitter as I am.
I got a very soft fabric with a US 8/5 mm needle, wheareas the suggested needle size is US11/8 mm.

I’d say you can substitute Puno 1 with any yarn that gives you 3 stitches in one inch in stockinette stitch.
Also, I am a ridiculously loose knitter, so don’t trust the needle size I used.
Trust your gauge. Whatever needle size gives you 3 stitches and 5 rows in one inch is just fine.
The resulting fabric must be firm but not stiff.
Don’t tighten the cables too much, or the cowl won’t fit over your head.
Oh, and cast on more stitches for a larger cowl, the pattern is easily customizable.
