I designed this pattern using our hand-dyed linen yarn range (eco-stitch hand-dyed sport linen).

Easy-level pattern for a hair wrap, designed for linen yarn, or similar absorbent plant-based yarn. It is intended to be used with wet hair.
The wrap is knitted in one piece and has a lace border and i-cord selvedge for stability along the edges.

It comes in one size, suitable for short, medium-length or long hair, but probably isn’t suitable for very long hair.

It only requires one 100g skein of sport weight linen yarn.
Gauge is very important for a good fit (25 sts to 10cm). It is highly recommended that you knit a swatch and wash and dry it before measuring gauge.

Rubbing wet hair with a towel can damage the protective outer layer (cuticles). Wearing a hair wrap directly after washing absorbs excess water quickly, cutting down on drying time and keeping cuticles as smooth and damage-free as possible.

LINEN yarn is an ideal choice for a hair wrap or other spa accessories. It is a truly eco-friendly fibre from a sustainable, renewable source (flax plant) and it is naturally hypoallergenic and hygroscopic (= readily absorbs moisture/water).
