I have a major obsession with acorns, and I designed Nuts About Autumn to showcase their awesomeness. They’re like little woodland snowflakes—each one is unique from color to cap. And when they start to fall from oak trees, well, you just know it’s a total sign that autumn has arrived. And I definitely love fall most of all! Who’s with me?

Materials Needed:

Worsted/Size 4 yarn in four contrasting colors—approximately 200 yds (183 m) total

Color A: 96 yds (88 m)
Color B: 30 yds (28 m)
Color C: 33 yds (31 m)
Color D: 41 yds (38 m)

US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 9 (5.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles (dpns) or US 9 (5.5 mm) circular knitting needles with a longer cord for Magic Loop method, or size needed to meet gauge
