Nya

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

’ Nya’ is the little sister of my ‘Jeromina’ pattern design.

The shawlette/shawl has an easy color work construction of two different yarns and a 2-by-2 ribbed edge, worked with yarn B.
It is an interesting combination of two yarn groups, which will create a cosy, lightweighted shawlette or shawl.

Yarn A = a 4ply Merino superwash.
Yarn B = a mohair/silk fingering lace yarn.
Find two matching delightful colors.

’Nya’ knits up quickly. Every stripe of two rows has a total increase of six stitches.
The 2-by-2 ribbing edge is 2”/5-6cm long.

Count the yarn A stripes:
23-25 yarn A stripes ( the fingering 4ply) plus the yarn B 2-by-2 ribbing edge are good for a sweet shawlette.
(Lengtht 19.69”/50cm, width 67”/170cm)

25-28 yarn A stripes plus the edge will create a reasonable sized shawl.
(Length 23.60”/60cm, width 70.87”/180cm)

28-30 yarn A stripes plus the edge will give you a cosy, big shawl.
(Lenght 27.56”/70cm, width 78.74”/200cm)

Knit the shawl’s/shawlette’s body the size you wish to achieve.
Please note, that your project will extend after beeing blocked.

Happy knitting!

Thanks to three beautiful ladies for modeling.
