this is a rectangle. this particular rectangle is seamed, but you could leave it unseamed and then it would be a wrap. maybe you already have the perfect shawl pin or clip or interesting stick to hold it closed with? i bet you do.

if you are an advanced beginner, you can knit this up. all you need to conquer it, is enough adventurousness inside you to learn how to triple wrap stitches and how to drop the extra wraps off a row later.

really, you can do this.

because the dropped wraps make those stitches extra, extra long, the knitting goes quickly. you can be wearing your poncho, wrap, whatever you chose to call it, in no time.
