Native to Georgia is the Black Tupelo tree, genus Nyssa sylvatica. Like the colors Rhichard creates, the leaves of the Black Tupelo tree are big and bold.

Nyssa begins with a provisional cast-on and is worked in 2 identical sections that are grafted centrally to create a mirror image.

Finished Measurements: 10” x 50” (22 cm x 109 cm)

Yarn: Approximately 400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Shown using The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze Superwash Merino 175 yds/100g skein; color With Envy, 3 skeins. Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage 200 yards(183 meters)/100 g skein; Antique Lace & Oak, 1 skein each.

Gauge: 16 sts/27 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage.

Needles: US#8/5.0 mm circular needle and US#8/5.0 mm DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 13 stitch markers and tapestry needle.
