The Oak Bark Toque is inspired by the texture and linearity of the bark of ancient oak trees. The hat’s textured panel, contrasting brim, and slouchy fit evoke a stroll through your favorite park.

In this project you’ll practice horizontal knit stitch, stockinette, and reverse beaded rib textures. The body of the toque is worked in the round, from the bottom up. The brim is worked flat from a provisional cast on, and is seamed at the end of the project.
