A light, airy scarf, Obelisco will complement your warmer-weather wardrobe. Long columns of lacy yarn overs are flanked by soothing stockinette stitch. Slipping the first stitch of every row creates a smooth edge.

Obelisco begins with just a few stitches and increases are quickly worked to establish the pattern. Once the width is attained, you’ll work a 2-row repeat which is easily memorized; then decreases begin which mimics the beginning. Weighing your yarn ahead of time makes the most of your skein.

Samples were knit with Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering (pink) and madelinetosh Twist Light (green), which ranges from 385 yards to 420 yards; an average of 400 yards is needed for the scarf.
